The annual salary for this position is within the range of $80,000 to $120,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for aligning with the Global Operational Risk strategy and executing it in your assigned region(s). In this role, you will lead the local implementation of this strategy, working closely with partners to inspire and engage teams. Your efforts will ensure consistent, repeatable operations and processes that support commercial success, through loss reduction. 

Through hands-on execution, training, and collaboration with retail leaders and store teams, you will help bring our vision to life. You will assess, analyze, and proactively address a wide range of risks across the organization.

Additionally, you will collaborate with both local and global stakeholders to develop strategies that effectively mitigate and monitor these risks.

This role is to be hybrid with 3 days in-office at our Playa Vista location and additional travel between store locations as needed. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Risk Strategy Execution
Implement, align and execute local operational risk, loss prevention initiatives in line with the Global Operational Risk strategy to ensure consistent and repeatable processes that support commercial success.Risk Monitoring and Mitigation
Proactively monitor, assess, and mitigate operational, compliance, safety and security risks across the region, ensuring timely and effective resolution of identified issues.Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Communicate key risk insights and recommendations to drive informed decision-making and action.Shrinkage and Waste Reduction
Lead initiatives to reduce shrinkage and operational waste through data analysis, process improvement, and team engagement.Strategic Risk Partnership
Provide expert guidance to the Retail Leaders, Country Brand Leader, and Country Manager on risk mitigation, loss prevention, safety and security strategies.Investigation Management
Oversee and manage the investigation program, ensuring thorough and compliant handling of all cases, and drive accountability and resolution.Exception Reporting and Analysis
Manage and analyze risk and loss prevention exception reports to identify discrepancies, trends, and outliers, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken.Coaching and Capability Building
Coach and support retail, DC leaders along with the operational teams to identify risk & loss related opportunities and implement solutions that drive performance and compliance.Compliance and Legislative Alignment
Partner with the Country Manager, Head of People and the Group legal and Operational Risk Teams to ensure adherence to local compliance requirements, laws, and regulations.Security Program Oversight
Coordinate with Retail and Distribution Centre (DC) leadership to manage security programs, resources, and protocols across all locations. Ensuring we deliver P&L expectations. Stocktake Assurance
Partnering with Global Support office; Ensure the effective planning and execution of the stocktake program within the region, providing assurance of inventory accuracy and integrity.Incident and Crisis Response
Lead incident response efforts and support the Crisis Management Team when required, ensuring swift and effective communication and resolution of critical events.

 

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, & KEY SKILLS

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, or a related Risk or Loss Prevention field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, CFE, PCI, WZ) are a plus.Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in Operational Risk, Loss Prevention, or Asset Protection, preferably in a multi-site retail or distribution environment.Proven experience in leading investigations, managing risk programs, and implementing loss prevention strategies at a national or regional level.

Technical & Professional Skills

Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, compliance requirements, and security protocols.Proficient in analysing exception reports, audit results, and data trends to identify risk and loss patterns.Experience with incident management systems, CCTV and other security technologies.Familiarity with local laws and regulations related to retail operations, workplace safety, and loss prevention.

Leadership & Communication

Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities to build risk awareness and capability across teams.

Personal Attributes

High level of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment in handling sensitive information and situations.Proactive, analytical, and solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and respond effectively in high-pressure or crisis situations.
