THE ROLE

The Loss Prevention Field Analyst plays a critical role in protecting company assets and supporting profitability through data analysis, investigative support, and collaboration across multiple business functions. This role focuses on identifying and responding to potential risks using internal data tools, such as Point-of-Sale (POS) exception reporting, audit findings, and technology systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates sound analytical thinking, and works effectively both independently and as part of a team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the development, maintenance, and distribution of Point-of-Sale (POS) exception reports.Analyze trends in exception reporting to identify potential risk areas and investigate accordingly, which may include extensive CCTV review.Support field operations and Loss Prevention Managers in the preparation and resolution of investigations or incidents.Utilize data from various internal systems (e.g., sales audit tools, financial systems, security platforms) to support asset protection efforts.Document findings clearly and concisely for internal use and potential escalation.Contribute to the continuous improvement of loss prevention programs through insights and feedback.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1+ years of experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Familiarity with exception reporting, POS systems, and video surveillance tools is preferred.Wicklander-Zulawski (WZ) interview and interrogation certification, or equivalent, is strongly preferred.

Skills and Abilities  

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Excellent communication and documentation abilities.Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools; experience with audit platforms and security systems is a plus.Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
