Logistics Technician - Day Shift

Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries Fab 9 is seeking a skilled and motivated Logistics Technician to be a part of the logistics team at GlobalFoundries state of the art 200mm wafer fab (Fab 9) in Burlington, VT. This role is fully on site and requires work on one of our AWS day shift schedules (A shift); these are 12-hour shifts.

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspection, warehousing, equipment, supplies, and mailPrepare documentation and enter data into system including Warehouse Management softwareHandle high value equipment, materials, and hazardous materials in an industrial environmentCount, weigh, and measure incoming or outgoing materials to compare and identify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records of dataExamine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and correspond with the shipper to rectify; complete paperwork or forms required for documentationDetermine method of shipment optimizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and ratesPrepare materials for shipping by weighing, packaging, labeling, and preparing necessary shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoicesCoordinate pick-up and delivery of material with service providersEnsure documentation is compliant in collaboration with logistics and trade specialistsOperate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move stock or reorganize storageFill orders and issue materials, tools, and supplies per request; document transactions appropriatelyPhysically load and unload transported equipmentOrder, purchase and recommend additions or deletions to standard stock items within established procedures and limitsPerform cycle counts and physical inventoriesUtilize computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasksPerform daily inspections of material handling equipment.Perform work within standard operating procedures (SOP)Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment Prioritize work assignments based upon service commitment to customers and business needsBe audit ready

Other Responsibilities:

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programsOther duties as assigned my manager / supervisor

Required Qualifications:

Education - High School diploma or equivalentExperience - Minimum 1-2 years' experience working in logistics or in a shipping/receiving environment and/or working in a manufacturing environmentFluent in English language - both written & verbal Applicant must be a U.S. CitizenMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET level U.S. Government Security ClearancePhysical Capacity Demands: ability to perform work in a standing position for majority of a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks).Able to lift, pull, and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shiftAble to perform activities that include bending at the waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or reachingAbility to use machinery for packing, wrapping, and crating materialsAbility and willingness to obtain a forklift certificationAbility to maintain accurate records

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Oracle software.Experience working in semiconductor manufacturing or in semiconductor tool/equipment/facilities maintenance3+ years' experience shipping / receiving in a manufacturing environmentAbility to operate automated or computerized systems and MS softwareStrong communication skills and ability to work well within a global teamBasic knowledge of import and export regulationsFamiliar with Lean processes & Kaizen teamsDemonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation

Expected Salary Range

$36,300.00 - $61,700.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.

The role you are applying for may require you to obtain a US Department of Defense Security Clearance at some time during your employment.
