Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.
Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for a Logistics Technician in Adelaide for a Naval project.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
Assist to identify Alternate Parts and confirm Form-Fit-Function equivalence
Assist MARSPT with Technical Assessment of Alternate Items of Supply
Conduct on-board audit of ship fitted Certified Items and Engineering Register data and collection of associated QQE. Assess Combat System OQE
Audit Registerable Plant and collect and register associated OQE
Assist in the collection of pre-acceptance maintenance triggers and associated OQE for Combat Systems equipment
What You’ll Bring
Strong experience with Logistics support in Defence industry or naval projects
Proficiency in ERP SAPNAV SAP S/4HANA, Sentinel Fundamentals, and Performance & Goals (P&G).
Ability to engage stakeholders to understand expectations, concerns, and develop solutions
Expertise to ensure responsible recordkeeping, classified Document Handling, and Export Control Navigation.
Experience and knowledge of Whole Life Warship Capability (BMT)
Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
