What will you do?The Logistics Area Supervisor is responsible for ensuring operational excellence within their designated area, focusing on safety, ergonomics, and continuous improvement through the 6S methodology. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to dynamic environments.
• Ensure compliance with safety, ergonomics, and 6S standards within the area.• Lead and manage team training and certification processes, including updates to the skills matrix.• Conduct daily start-up meetings to align team objectives.• Apply problem-solving techniques and manage issue resolution.• Reassign team members based on organizational changes and priorities.• Contribute to the creation and updating of logistics procedures.• Manage inventory accuracy, ensuring a minimum 95% reliability rate.• Support the Annual Inventory process, from pre-counts to final reconciliation.• Drive initiatives to meet service level goals in quality, delivery time, and productivity.• Monitor and report logistics KPIs.• Ensure data accuracy for effective decision-making.• Receive and manage non-standard materials.• Apply and maintain the KANBAN system.• Oversee and follow up on administrative controls.
Required Skills and Qualifications:• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.• Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics.• Knowledge of material supply and flow processes.• SAP experience (preferred).• Strong leadership and team management skills.• Availability to work rotating shifts.• High sense of responsibility and ownership of area.• Material handling and care.• Customer service orientation.• Ability to manage personnel effectively.• Adaptability to changing situations and dynamic environments.• Flexibility to meet diverse operational requirements.• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
