Job Description

As the Manager you will manage the activities of the shipping and receiving, stores, and manage the inventory of materials for the company.

Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the departmentsDevelops and implements policies and procedures related to shipping & receiving and stores with a goal to maximize efficiency and optimize workflow. Identifying problems and inefficiencies present and implementing solutions to address these issuesFamiliarity with rules and regulations of import/export of goods. Along with required documents, documentation, etc.Oversees and directs generation of documentation required for outbound shipments including, but not limited to, packing list, bill of lading and export documentsCoordinate and control all freight claim dispositionDirects and coordinates activities concerned with new motor inventory. Directs shipping and consignment of Hitachi inventoryMaintains current knowledge of logistics and technology developments and trends; recommends and implements improvements based on this knowledge to provide more efficient service to internal and external customersIdentifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs and chargesPlanning and managing logistics, warehouse, and transportationMaintains inventory in the ERP system for parts, supplies, and materials usedDirecting, optimizing, and coordinating full order cycle

Work Experience

The Preferred Candidate May Have:

Bachelor's degree in business or related field with coursework in inventory control management, required.At least 5 years of inventory/logistic experience required with supervisory experience preferredProven negotiation skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to exercise tact, courtesy, and ethics when dealing with vendors, co-workers, and customersExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively train others
