Job Title: Logistics Specialist

Job Description

The Logistics Specialist plays a crucial role in managing customer vehicle relocation services, ensuring seamless execution of orders and supporting business operations. The position requires strong communication skills for interactions with various stakeholders and maintaining precise data in the CRM system.

ResponsibilitiesManage execution of customer orders, coordinating and scheduling pickup and delivery of vehicles while adhering to customer instructions.Ensure efficient order execution by linking multiple orders and overseeing additional services like vehicle detailing, registration, and storage placement.Communicate promptly via email, telephone, and CRM with staff, independent contractors, and delivery contacts, escalating issues to management as necessary.Update CRM activities and notes accurately after each interaction, including uploading photos and scanned documents.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and adherence to DOT regulations and applicable laws.In manager's absence or through direction, calculate and offer flat fees on orders via email to all independent contractors.Manage storage facility operations, including tracking vehicles using VIN and order verifications.Inspect vehicles upon arrival, noting any damage or issues, and take inventory of items left in vehicles.Move vehicles in and out of the lot, ensuring they are secure and ready for pickup by drivers.Conduct inventory checks to ensure all cars are accounted for on the lot and address any starting issues with headquarters.Essential SkillsAbility to learn and utilize all company systems and equipment efficiently.Provide exceptional customer service and keep customers informed of order developments.Monitor and manage team dashboard to ensure orders progress smoothly.Effectively manage time and tasks to achieve completion.Respond confidently and take responsibility for position requirements.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma.Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment with multitasking capabilities.Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and CRM systems.6 months of customer service experience; inventory experience is beneficial.Ability to type at least 37 words per minute.Work Environment

This position is on-site, located in Joliet, IL, operating Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
