Job Description

The logistics specialist is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to the production schedule. This role involves reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules, as well as compiling reports on inventory levels and costs.

ResponsibilitiesExamine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.Essential SkillsVerbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailProblem-solving and interpersonal skillsAbility to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor, and materialsAbility to accurately document and record customer/client informationKnowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and productionPrevious experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and ExcelAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredGood customer service skillsDetail-oriented and good at problem-solvingAnalytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with SAP and reportingWork Environment

The role is based in a brand new modern corporate building in Kansas City, Kansas. The work environment is business casual, with a hybrid work schedule allowing for 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $38.46/hr.
