Main Responsibilities:
Provides input and executes logistics strategies to maximize the business benefit of corporate logistics resources/contacts/scaleIntegrates logistics plans and tactics with IBP processes: Ensures logistics capabilities are aligned with demand and supply plans, costs, and outlooks; Determines gaps to plan and develops/ executes improvement plans to meet Supply Chain needsDevelops and maintains documentation of business requirements for logistics services – defined scopes of work – to enable competitive selection and to manage performance of logistics providers. Scope of work may include global business requirements in terms of safety, service and cost.Arranges and coordinates transportation assets and services to meet supply chain requirements such as the transportation equipment fleet including ISO tanks, railcars, tank-trailers.Monitors the day to day activities of the contract logistics functions (e.g.: Freight Forwarders, Integrators, 3PLs, contract warehousing, etc.) for the Business to assure needs are being metEnsures logistics practices and activities comply with company policies and are compliant with all government and industry regulationsCoordinates the investigation, root-cause analysis, and resolution of transportation safety incidents complaints and claims to drive continuous improvement of transportation providers and recover losses.Manages transportation assets to ensure compliance with DuPont engineering standards and regulatory requirements.Documents and utilizes logistics best practices and procedures.Participates in and supports the logistics Outlook and PO processes.Provides transportation cost information and logistics advice through collaboration with the GP organization, 3PLs, business teams, and site personnel.Leads cost savings projects in the Logistics area – transportation and warehousingMonitors and reports on logistics critical operating tasks (COTs) for performance improvement and cost savings.Collaborates with customer service, business supply chains and regional logistics resources to optimize end-to-end processes within the supply chain and order fulfillment areasAnalyze logistics performance and cost reports from various systems to identify root cause for anomalies or items outside of target objectives and identify corrective actions/improvement opportunitiesBesides some general qualifications:
