Logistics SpecialistCastle Cary/Paddington/Slough/Waltham/Plymouth – UK basedFlexible hybrid working  37.5 Hrs – Mon-Fri £31,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience Fixed term contract – 12 Months

We are looking for a motivated Logistics Specialist who can thrive in a dynamic environment working with hauliers across Europe to manage the deliveries across our European Key Accounts (EKA) Business Unit within Royal Canin.

The logistics specialist within the EKA supply chain team is responsible for working with multiple haulier partners to deliver direct to customer from our 4 factories in Europe ensuring that strong communication and planning is maintained into order to delivery over 75,000 tonnes of pet food annually.

What are we looking for?

Previous supply chain experience

Ability to build strong working relationships

Excellent communication skills and accomplished multitasker with the ability to change priorities quickly

Experience in using Microsoft Excel or a transport management system (ideally ERP systems such as Navision, 1NAV, or Microsoft Dynamics, but similar systems experience would be beneficial)

Previous logistics experience, specifically in transporting/warehousing/3PL management desirable

The role is ideal for someone who can come in and not only perform strongly in the operational side of the role but is also motivated by continuous improvement as we aim to develop our logistics function

What would be your key responsibilities?

Build and execute a robust Supply Plan to guarantee the right supply of goods from our factories to the customer’s warehouses.

Ensure that our external Logistics Service Providers are meeting necessary quality standards, work with them to resolve logistics issues when necessary.

Build strong working relationships to drive improvements in service, flexibility and to optimize costs.

Drive our Supply Chain strategy for the business unit to deliver lean and sustainable logistics operations through optimising logistics costs and continuously improving service.
