Logistics Sourcing Manager- HYBRID

POSITION SUMMARY

This is an on-site hybrid role based out of El Paso, TX.

Reporting to the Director of Category Management Logistics, the Logistics Sourcing Manager will lead Mexico-focused sourcing initiatives, execute logistics projects, and drive year-over-year cost improvements. Key activities include analyzing spend and pricing data, consolidating negotiations, selecting and managing suppliers, negotiating agreements, improving supplier performance, leading workshops and kaizens, and tracking project savings.

This position is part of a team that manages approximately $240 million annual logistics spend and will be responsible for implementing logistics strategies across all transportation modes and collaborates with stakeholders to enhance value and sustainability in the supply chain.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans, organizes, directs, controls and communicates all strategic sourcing activities related to third-party logistics services, supporting all Regal Rexnord businessesEstablishes primary and secondary preferred carriers for each major lane by modeProactively identifies areas of opportunities by analyzing data and market trendsActively manages logistics supplier relationships, conducts quarterly business reviews, and addresses supplier performance issues as necessaryCollaborate with Regal Rexnord segments and corporate Logistics teams on the preparation of Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotations (RFQs), reverse auctions and leads the screening and supplier selection process  Negotiates commercial contracts with carriers / Freight Forwarders and works with the legal team to finalize and execute agreementsDevelops and maintains fluent communication with operating locations in Mexico and segment leadership teams about enterprise sourcing team’s vision and ensures operational alignmentDevelops KPIs, scorecards & dashboards and publishes on monthly basis with primary objective of driving year over year performance improvements (Cost, On Time Delivery, Service)Conducts brainstorming sessions at facilities with cross functional teams to identify strategic opportunities and deployment priorities on cost saving initiatives. Works with the facilities to create regional transportation cost savings funnels that align with commercial strategies and financial targets  Drives spend analysis, including counter measures for projects that fall short of plan and make decisions to remedy the issues to get the teams back on track to meet or exceed plan  Creates and regularly updates routing guide for each major mode of transportEstablishes and lead logistics commodity teams, logistics workshops, through a “dotted line” support organization, as appropriateProactively assesses internal and external process improvements and influences effective change and drive innovation and continuous improvements 

QUALIFICATIONS

BA or BS degree required, preferably in Supply Chain/ Logistics/ Operations managementMinimum of 7 years’ experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment with experience in Logistics procurement, or similar positionDemonstrated understanding of total cost of ownershipBilingual english/spanishPolicy Deployment experience and knowledge of 80/20 and LEAN principles is preferredExperience working with multiple locations globally  Ability to work independentlyProblem resolution skills and root cause analysis experience requiredFull proficiency in use of computer tools including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Exchange for effective analysis and communication requiredConsistent performance in delivering annual cost reductions linked to category strategyAbility to work comfortably in ambiguous situations, know how to resolve conflicts and have a proven track record of achieving analytical & project resultsAbility to work well in a multicultural, cross functional environmentDemonstrated effectiveness in communicating concepts and recommendations and gaining acceptance and commitment required
