The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s power grid!
The EA Business Unit in Wendell, North Carolina, which is its U.S. headquarters, focuses on medium-voltage power distribution equipment including packaging and services, and solutions, including automation. Additionally, assembly of low-voltage motor control centers, and retrofit and replacement circuit breakers occurs at the facility.
We are looking for a Logistics Project Professional - PFEP. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.
As a Logistics Project Professional, you’ll optimize warehouse storage, streamline material flow, and implement lean processes. Working with suppliers, production, and procurement teams, you’ll ensure efficient inventory management, oversee labeling and kanban systems, and use SAP to drive continuous improvement.

The Logistics Project Professional determines where materials will be stored in the warehouse, including the number of static versus dynamic locations, and is responsible for labeling static (permanent) homes as well as overall warehouse labeling and the kanban process. They work with suppliers on standard pack quantities and dimensions to ensure efficient storage and are responsible for determining space requirements for materials both in the warehouse and the offsite Knightdale storage facility. The Logistics Project Professional adjusts warehouse layouts when new products are introduced or when volume changes require reallocating storage space among products. They maintain bin locations in SAP to ensure accurate and up-to-date material placement information. The Logistics Project Professional audits warehouse locations to verify proper storage of materials and ensures manufacturing lines have designated homes for materials delivered by the warehouse team. They optimize warehouse operations to improve efficiencies in picking materials for orders and support overall warehouse process improvements.You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years of experience analyzing inventory levels to identify issues such as stockouts or excess inventory, and at least 2 years of experience using SAP systems. Experience working with Kanban systems, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and identifying opportunities to optimize inventory and reduce waste through data analysis and process improvement. Experience with MS Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to work closely with production teams, procurement, and quality control to ensure smooth material flow and part availability. Must be able to train others and respond positively to constructive feedback. Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance, demonstrate strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines, and perform duties with a sense of urgency. A positive attitude and teamwork skills are essential. Must be able to occasionally lift parts or sub-assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs and perform job duties safely. The pay range for this position is $44,100 - $75,600 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
