Logistics Process Engineer - Automated Solutions

The Logistics Process Engineer will join the Supply Chain and Logistics team supporting the deployment and routine operation of the site intralogistics system for commercial operations (Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), Material Conveyance, Automated Guided Vehicles, etc.).   

Responsibilities:

Drive lean principles and ensure efficient and effective material flows are maintained Support end to end integration of innovative supply chain solutions to ensure efficient high speed automated logistics operationsCoordinate, cross functionally, to ensure intralogistics operations are optimized to support operational needsCreate and implement standard operating procedures for automated handlingCreate and implement pallet and tote cleaning strategies Define robust material identification strategies and implement process FMEA action itemsPartner with maintenance and automation to develop a spare parts strategy and identify potential failure modesIdentify and implement business continuity strategies for the intralogistics systemSupport the deployment of a logistics cockpit for intralogistics system monitoringResponsible for ensuring the Logistics Systems (ASRS, Conveyance, AGVs, etc.) meet the demands of the business Identify and implement solutions to improve system efficiency to ensure maximum throughputMonitor the daily performance of the system, looking for trends and opportunities for continuous improvement Maintain Plan for Every Part and Plan for Every Flow data throughout the lifecycle of all production flows to ensure flows are balanced and not stressing the system Work closely with business leaders to identify when business demands will exceed the capability of the logistics systemAct as the subject matter expert within the supply chain and logistics organization for the intralogistic system operation.

​Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Logistics (MBA is a preference) 

Additional Skills/Preferences:

Experience in Supply Chain and Logistics operations performed in matured industries with complex supply chain (e.g. - Automotive, FMCG, Pharma/Medical Devices) SAP User/Experience in using ERP systems Demonstrated Project Management skills and ability to coordinate complex projects across manufacturing network/external partners Knowledge of supply chain network modeling and analysis tools  Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills Experience creating standard operating proceduresAbility to communicate and influence effectively across functional groups and stakeholders Strategic thinking and ability to balance short-term needs with long/term business evolution Excellent presentation and communication skills Enthusiasm for changes, team spirit and flexibilityAPICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) certification a plusLean or Six Sigma experience a plus

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$64,500 - $167,200

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
