Who will you be working with?
Our best-in-class Warehouse and Logistics team combines knowledge of customers’ processes with deep domain expertise and tenured experience to deliver unparalleled logistics services for our customers both internal and external. Here you’ll interact daily with key stakeholders to support our customers and their operations as well as our internal operations.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Nordco Logistics team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the inbound/outbound movement of goods and resources within a supply chain and sales. This involves scheduling shipments, deliveries, and transportation logistics to ensure efficient and timely operations.

Create and maintain schedules for shipments and deliveries. Familiar with logistics software (3PL) to create and schedule shipments.Wide range of knowledge/understanding of how to create BOL’s, customs documents for domestic and international shipments.Proficient with UPS/FEDEX websites for shipment label creation.Coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, carriers, and customers to ensure best, most cost-effective shipping terms.Monitor and track shipments through various internal/external logistics portals and ERP system.Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and logistical issues.Extensive understanding of practical realities of handling goods, including warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and order fulfillment.Provides interpretation of freight tariffs, interstate and intrastate commerce rules and export requirements.Communicating effectively with all departments to provide shipment updates. The ability to adjust to changing priorities and unexpected logistical situations. Able to manage specific customer-supplied routing guides for outbound shipments.Audit and correct freight bills both internal and external. Ability to investigate discrepancies and suggest cost saving opportunities.Investigate and process claims for damaged/lost shipments with carriers.Provides support as backup to receiving and inventory control.Other general office duties as assigned. This includes cross-functional department training and assistance.What about the physical demands of the job?
Work is primarily light duty and requires the ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds. This position is basically sedentary, and requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to talk or hear. Close vision ability is required.
Office and shop setting subject to interruptions, moderate noise and other normal environmental conditions. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. Works under routine deadlines and work volume requirements. Normal work hours scheduled by supervisor and may vary on occasion.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between
$43,400.00-$57,500.00The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com.
