Logistics Officer - Casual

About the role:

The Logistics Officer at the Royal Adelaide Hospital is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of mail, equipment, and supplies, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. 

We are seeking to fill multiple casual vacancies 

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily freight operations to meet customer expectations while minimising costs.Coordinate and perform distribution tasks, including receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching loads.Maintain security and compliance, particularly concerning the Dangerous Drugs area, and adhere to relevant government regulations.Ensure proper use and maintenance of logistics equipment in line with manufacturer instructions and safety standards.Work closely with the logistics team to meet performance targets, share information, and ensure the smooth operation of logistics services.

About you:

Previous experience in a logistics or similar role is preferred, ideally within a healthcare environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.Strong proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with logistics or distribution management systems is advantageous.The role requires medium to heavy lifting, and candidates must be physically fit to perform the necessary duties.A conscientious approach to working safely, with active participation in Zero Harm initiatives and adherence to safety protocols.
