Job Posting External Logistics Management - Provide metrics on claim filing process to ensure claims are filed with logistics providers. Act as a liaison between branches, dealers, customers and carriers regarding all disputes. Audit and approve freight expenses and budgets. Continuously, lead and monitor process improvement to move international freight quicker and more consistently using cost-effective methods.   International Logistics Functions - Manage activities of International Logistics group to support negotiation planning, execution, and contract agreements with Steamship Lines, Special Lane moves, Freight Forwarders, and Air Freight Providers, and International small parcel carriers to support company global operations. Monitor pricing, performance, and service agreements/contracts for logistics providers.  Manage flow of materials between international manufacturing and supplier locations into and out of North America.  Domestic Logistics Functions - Manage activities of Domestic Logistics to support negotiation planning, execution, and contracting.  Oversee freight requirements, costs, and performance metrics for providers of less than truckload (LTL), truckload (TL), consolidated multi-stop, intermodal rail, special equipment moves, and small parcel carriers. Manage and coordinate flow of materials between manufacturing and supplier facilities in North America. Provide support to multiple departments on North America shipping needs.  Compliance Activities - Develop and maintain policies, procedures, practices, certifications, and documentation to manage compliance with all applicable import and export laws and regulations. Integrate logistics operations with trade compliance requirements and HAZMAT / DOT / IATA / IMDG requirements. Support global supply chain security program participation and surveillance audits. Employee Development - Perform duties such as creating/revising job descriptions, conducting Talent Development discussion sessions, rating performance, establishing/tracking goals and completing annual wage reviews.  Miscellaneous -Prepare department budgets. Make visits to suppliers and Company locations. 

Minimum Qualifications

8-15 years related experience Bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain or Logistics) Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED Must have valid driving privileges Valid passport Occasional travel (0-5%) Occasional overnight stays (0-5%) Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business < 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday. Per 8-hour shift.  Sit 8 hours and stand 0 hours.  Typical office environment (low noise level, limited exposure hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations).  Regular interaction with others and performs a degree of independent work.  Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard.  Infrequent lifting, walking and climbing stairs.  Occasional use of office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.).

Preferred Qualification

Experience of 10 or more years in domestic and/or international logistics. Knowledge of TMS systems, SAP/ERP systems, with an emphasis on SAP’s Transportation Management System (TMS) module. Good communication, organizational, and logistics skills.
