Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 5), Position Description Number NGT5806900 and is part of the TN 164th AW Air National Guard. This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 115 (Pyramid on the River Chapter). Responsibilities As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-09 (TITLE 5) you will Provide technical/administrative assistance to the program manager for the Integrated Deployment System (IDS); Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution Segments (DCAPES), Contingency Operations/Mobility Planning and Executive System (COMPES), Logistics Module-Base Level (LOGMOD-B), Automated Air Load Planning System (AALPS), and Cargo Movement Operations System (CMOS). Ensures that all systems interface within IDS. Formulate and consolidate logistical annexes for IDS guidance based on regulations, manuals, instructions, and directives issued by higher headquarters. At the direction of, and in conjunction with the logistics staff, identifies required deployment/redeployment support with the wing staff, serving as the NCOIC of the Redeployment Assistance Team (RAT), Air Mobility Command (AMC), and Air Combat Command (ACC) for the transportation of equipment and personnel. Review OPLANS, Concept Plans (CONPLANS), Concept of Operations (CONOP), USAF Special Operation Plans, Exercise Plans, and Execution Orders for tasking from higher headquarters. Assist with maintaining and analyzes the correlation of data between the Unit Type Code (UTC) Management Information System (UMIS), Designed Operational Capacity (DOC) statements, and all applicable plans for all wing and supported units for readiness reporting and tasking. Provide technical logistic plans support at staff meetings and working groups conducted by the Wing/Air Commander and staff. Resolves logistical problems as they occur. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Experience in LOGMOD, BAS&E, DCAPES or JOPES and in the logistical planning process for deploying personnel and equipment is preferred but is not a disqualifying element for this position. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the Logistics Plans field. Experience using computer and automation systems SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 1 year at the next lower GS level or 18 months specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience, education, or training which involved detailed knowledge of Air Force organizations and their functions in Logistics Plans support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience managing logistics plans and deployment operations. Experience using computer and automation systems such as LOGMOD, DCAPES, BAS&E, etc. Experience planning and organizing work assignments. Education Education Requirement: High School Diploma/GED Substitution of Education to qualify for this position is not available.
