LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the SYSTEMS ACQUISTION GROUP of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. There are currently 3 Assistant Program Managers for Logistics to be filled: 1) PMA276, 2) PMA262 and 3) PMA273, however, this announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies in additional PMAs. Responsibilities You will formulate the support and maintenance concepts and maintainability requirements for assigned weapon system. You will exercise resource responsibility/authority over support budgets to include planning, tracking and executing sustainment funds. You will direct analyses by appropriate activities and implement corrective actions with an emphasis on improving fleet aircraft readiness. You will manage and direct the efforts of all logistics personnel providing life cycle product support management to the weapon system. You will plan and chair logistics and maintenance conferences, as required, throughout the acquisition and support phases to ensure a continuous, effective, and balanced logistics support program. You will manage product support integration with product support disciplines executing throughout the life cycle of naval aviation systems and equipment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS- 12/13 grade level or pay band DS-05 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Develop, maintain and execute sustainment budgets. 2) Lead logistics professionals in all Integrated Product Support Elements (IPSE) used to determine trends and identify deficiencies in the provision of spare parts, repair manuals, test equipment, support items, manpower and training to ensure unit capability to perform a specified mission. 3) Interfaces with multiple stakeholders such as the DOD, OPNAV, other services/agencies, the Fleet, field activities, other NAVAIR Echelons and Contractors. 4) Directs analyses by appropriate activities and implements corrective actions with an emphasis on improving fleet aircraft readiness.
