Objective
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Distribution Specialist to join our team and drive excellence in order fulfillment operations. This position focuses on managing the complete shipment process from preparation through delivery, ensuring products reach customers efficiently and accurately. The successful candidate will contribute to customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards in packaging, documentation, and coordination with various stakeholders throughout the supply chain.
Responsibilities Execute complete order fulfillment processes including product preparation, packaging, and quality verification Generate necessary shipping documentation including labels, bills of lading, and export paperwork using internal software systems Conduct thorough inspections of outbound orders to confirm accuracy in quantity, product specifications, and labeling requirements Establish and maintain relationships with various shipping carriers including UPS, FedEx, and LTL providers Schedule pickup appointments and coordinate delivery timelines to meet customer expectations Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any transportation issues or delays that arise Maintain organized and compliant work areas that meet both internal standards and regulatory requirements Operate material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently Support inventory management activities through cycle counting and stock reconciliation processes Partner with Customer Service representatives to resolve order inquiries and shipping concerns Coordinate with Production teams to ensure timely availability of products for shipment Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to optimize workflow and meet delivery commitments Requirements High school diploma or equivalent education credential Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in warehouse, shipping, or logistics operations Demonstrated proficiency with shipping software platforms and enterprise resource planning systems Strong mathematical abilities and data interpretation skills for accurate order processing Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data management and Outlook for communication Familiarity with carrier-specific shipping platforms such as UPS WorldShip or FedEx Ship Manager Ability to read and comprehend technical documents including work orders, shipping instructions, and customer specifications Current forklift certification or commitment to obtain certification upon hire Exceptional attention to detail with proven ability to maintain accuracy in fast-paced environments Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction Independent work capability combined with collaborative teamwork approach Problem-solving mindset with ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements Customer-focused attitude with commitment to service excellence Ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly Capacity to remain standing and walking for extended periods throughout the shift Manual dexterity required for handling delicate materials and precision packaging tasks Physical capability to operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely Associate's degree, trade certification, or additional relevant education preferred Previous experience in manufacturing or materials conversion environments preferred Background in inventory management systems and procedures preferred Experience with international shipping documentation and export processes preferredSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
