Position Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator II position provides support for daily Transportation tasks to help facilitate the move of product both inbound and outbound. This includes providing service/support in working with both our Internal and External stakeholders. This role will also be responsible for handling many areas within Transportation such as daily routing and reporting. This will help to provide Logistics Management in delivering safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth performance levels. Support the Logistics Team to execute strategies, support operation excellence, and Regal’s growth and innovation needs.
Major Responsibilities:
· Responsible for working within our TMS shipment to schedule loads.
· Handles Logistics Routing, Carrier Selection, Quoting, Scheduling, and Expedite Requests.
· Collaborates with Internal and external teams to drive resolution/shipment on meeting on time performance.
· Responsible for supporting Logistics and Business policies through Best Practices/Standard work.
· Responsible for maintaining key reporting project and OTP focus points.
· Prepares request for quotes on Expedited shipments and schedules as needed – through the expedite system.
May be assigned responsibility for additional tasks within the Department as needed.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
· Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree / Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration / Broker or Logistics Management / Supply Chain Management or related.
· Licensed Broker is a plus
· Working knowledge on Supply chain/Logistics
· Knowledgeable in import/export business with demonstrated knowledge of Transportation Management
· Detailed oriented and accurate
· Proficient in MS Excel (including pivot tables), and MS PowerPoint
· Well-developed analytical skills, articulate, innovative and confident
· Flexible, able to work on own initiative, deal with more than one project at a time, can work under pressure and tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks accordingly
· Very good communication skills, verbal and written
· Proven ability to take on tasks and drive continuous improvements.
· Ability to function well in a rapid paced, multi-tasking environment
· Self-starter and a strong team player
Travel:
· Willing to travel but not necessary.
