About IPSD 

Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. Job Summary: 

Are you ready to play a crucial role in a dynamic team at Caterpillar in Seguin, Texas? As a Logistics Coordinator II, you’ll be at the heart of our logistics operations, supporting the team in ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes. Your key responsibilities will include accurately recording and processing inventory adjustments using our state-of-the-art tools and software, all while maintaining a safe work environment. 

 

In this exciting role, you will report to section managers and collaborate across various departments to meet both customer and company demands. What you will do: 

Complete root cause analysis of defects discovered in the cycle count, audit and reconcile processes   

Perform reconciliation of parts according to the IRA processes and procedures  

Work in Excel spreadsheet to input data and populate reports as needed   

Learn Caterpillar manufacturing systems (e.g., Plex and MAMM) for inventory count reconciliation    

Lead and support Caterpillar Production System Continuous Improvement activities   

Escalate issues and the necessary resources to root cause and develop counter measures   

Work closely with Management and Team Leads and provide support to other departments as needed   

Execute special duties and projects as directed by Section Manager and Team Lead  

Follow standard operating procedures and area-specific work instructions  

Report to Section Managers and be assigned to departments within the business to meet customer and company demands  

Occasionally participate in training and development  

Perform any other assigned duties 

  

What you will have: 

Minimum of 4 months' experience conducting warehouse and/or logistics job functions or industry certification 

Ability to work well with others 

Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English 

Intermediate experience with computers, inventory management software, and Excel 

Previous experience with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work 

Ability to adhere to safety procedures 

  

What would make you a top candidate:  

Previous experience and/or certification in operating forklifts, tugger, and/or other power equipment 

Previous experience in material planning, purchasing, parts distribution, and/or inventory control 

Working knowledge of production scheduling and capacity management 

Excellent interpersonal skills to develop working relationships inside and outside the department 

Ability to utilize PLEX 

Lean manufacturing experience 

 

Physical Requirements: 

Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time 

Ability to perform repetitive operations 

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Additional Information: 

1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm. Overtime as required.

Summary Pay Range:

$19.05 - $23.20
