The Logistics Coordinator Aircraft Material Purchasing is responsible for the purchase and provision of aircraft parts, tools, materials and services for the maintenance of cargo aircraft of the DHL fleet (EAT LEJ, DHL UK & Aerologic) in Leipzig & East Midlands Airport and its C-Check organisations.

\n\nPurchasing of aircraft parts, tools, materials and services for the maintenance of cargo aircraft (Line Maintenance, C-Checks, Engineering Requests for MOD, AD, SB, CN or Engineering Instructions) for EAT LEJ and DHL Operators managed by EAT LEJ\n\nWorldwide market enquiry and purchasing from known and new suppliers\nNegotiations & selection of ‘best buy’ with suppliers (based on cost, quality, technical requirements, delivery time and reliability of suppliers)\nManaging the re-procurement of consumables on the basis of defined logistics parameters\nMonitoring deliveries until the goods are successfully received\n\n\nIdentification and clarification of supplier problems on the basis of a supplier evaluation system (ORD, U/S on fit etc.) and active order tracking (delivery performance)\nProcessing/support of strategic purchasing topics & projects, including\n\nConclusion of framework agreements\nInventory management\nProcess optimisation\n\n\nSupport and processing of all administrative tasks in connection with the delivery of parts, materials and services\nClose co-operation with other departments within and outside EAT LEJ necessary (e.g. parts suppliers and manufacturers, repair shops, freight forwarders, DG certification centres, DHL Air in EMA (UK), other airlines, outstation, maintenance facilities...)\nCollaboration on cross-divisional projects\n

YOUR PROFILE\n\nDegree in purchasing/logistics or many years of relevant professional experience in purchasing/logistics/materials management/materials planning\nKnowledge / experience in the aircraft industry\nVery good knowledge of German\nVery good knowledge of English\nGood IT skills with MS Office, knowledge of Trax desirable\nHigh level of process understanding of aircraft maintenance in cooperation with internal and external partners desirable\nNegotiation skills & willingness to communicate\nHigh service level orientation for internal and external customers\nMarket knowledge (worldwide) and knowledge of legal regulations in the purchase of aircraft parts desirable\nStress resistance and focussed work even with a high workload\nProblem-solving skills in the event of conflicting objectives (team player)\n\nOUR OFFER\n
