Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing and optimizing the flow of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining accurate records. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the scheduling and execution of inbound and outbound shipments to meet delivery timelines.
• Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and warehouses to arrange transportation and address logistics challenges.
• Monitor shipments and provide status updates to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of shipping activities and inventory data using organizational systems.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Quality Assurance teams to ensure proper storage and handling of goods.
• Address and resolve logistical issues such as delays, damages, or discrepancies in operations.
• Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, manifests, and customs paperwork, to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives by optimizing transportation and logistics processes.
• Support inventory management efforts, including stock transfers between locations.
• Track and analyze freight and delivery performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Requirements • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain operations, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in logistics management platforms, organizational systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in logistics operations.
• Familiarity with relevant logistics and supply chain concepts, including inventory management and transportation workflows.
