Logistics Coordinator
Description We are looking for a highly organized and meticulous Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Piscataway, New Jersey. This Contract to Permanent position offers the opportunity to manage end-to-end shipment processes while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Responsibilities: • Coordinate shipment scheduling, dispatching, and tracking to ensure seamless delivery experiences. • Maintain accurate order information during input and gather all relevant details for efficient processing. • Monitor shipments throughout their lifecycle, providing timely updates and addressing any delays or disruptions. • Route packages effectively based on customer requirements and delivery specifications. • Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to address special service requests and resolve issues. • Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve service quality and operational efficiency. • Collaborate with external partners and vendors to arrange transportation and ensure cost-effective solutions. • Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and standards, including customs and shipping guidelines. • Provide timely and clear communication with sales representatives, project managers, and management. • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the logistics team. Requirements • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role within the shipping or distribution industry. • Strong understanding of shipment tracking, routing, and dispatching processes. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively across teams and stakeholders. • Familiarity with governmental compliance agencies and regulations related to logistics and customs. • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements. • Proficiency in utilizing logistics vendors and partners to deliver cost-effective solutions. • Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency when addressing issues. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
