Logistics Coordinator
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Miami, Florida. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has expertise in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and import/export operations. The role requires strong organizational skills, bilingual communication abilities, and proficiency in logistics systems such as Magaya. Responsibilities: • Manage end-to-end logistics operations, including import and export processes and freight forwarding for ocean shipments. • Negotiate and oversee contracts to ensure optimal terms and compliance with regulations. • Utilize logistics software such as Magaya to track shipments and maintain accurate records. • Coordinate customs brokerage activities on-site to facilitate smooth cargo clearances. • Communicate effectively with clients and vendors, ensuring timely updates on shipment statuses and resolving any issues. • Maintain organized documentation and billing functions related to logistics operations. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of logistics processes with business objectives. • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and delivering solutions promptly. • Ensure compliance with bonded warehouse regulations and organizational policies. • Monitor and improve logistics workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Requirements • Proven experience in logistics coordination, including import/export and freight forwarding operations. • Proficiency in logistics systems such as Magaya, as well as CRM and ERP tools. • Strong negotiation skills for managing contracts and vendor relationships. • Bilingual proficiency in English and another language, with excellent communication abilities. • Knowledge of customs brokerage processes and bonded warehouse regulations. • Ability to work on-site and adapt to dynamic logistics environments. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills. • Commitment to providing high-quality customer service and resolving issues effectively.
