The Logistics Team provides a high level of support to internal and external customers. This position will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service through effective communication. This role will involve interacting with customers, managing their orders from receipt to delivery, monitoring their future demand and inventories while delivering high levels of engagement.
All of the above will be delivered by the successful candidate while at the same time ensuring the company continues to attain its manufacturing goals.
What You’ll Do for Us:
Coordinate and liaise with the operations teams to ensure timely collection and delivery of shipments at our logistics center located in Apopka, FloridaPreparation of shipping documentation as is applicable to our customers.Preparation of relevant dangerous goods documentation, for road/rail and sea transport as per regulations.Consult with internal and external customers, suppliers in order to improve performance, products and services.Manage future demand through proactive liaison with customers and stakeholders within the system, involving analysis of historical data, forecasts, rolling estimate and market performance.Review customer orders at warehouse using knowledge of equipment capability and capacity.Manage customer issues ensuring effective communication internally, trend analysis to facilitate in development of corrective actions, and follow up to ensure close out of issues, while effectively manage communication on progress with Customers.Liaise with customers, forwarders, brokers, production planners, operations and quality assurance.Gather and analyze key procurement metrics using data collection techniques.Performs other tasks, analysis and special projects as assigned.Inventory control/cycle counting.Support the company programs and culture within the company.Safeguard and protect all Company information and property.Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years' experience in a warehousing/distribution environment (preferably food/bev/pharma environment)Bachelor’s degree required. Qualification in Logistics and transportation preferredKnowledge / experience in the transport of dangerous goods and ADR regulations, DGSA qualification would be preferred.Knowledge of INCOTERMKnowledge of GHS requirementsExperience in traffic coordination and transport schedulingStrong customer service skillsBusiness proficiency in English and Spanish preferredMicrosoft word and excel experience.Strong analytical skillsStrong oral communication skillsAbility to strategically align distribution processes to fulfill customer requirements.Knowledge of specific supply chain capabilities, strategies and interdependencies to perform short- and long-term business planning.Exposure to customs and excise preferredSAP or WMS/EWM experience a plusWhat We Can Do for You
