Logistics Control Specialist

The Logistics Control Specialist is responsible for working with the Distribution and Materials leadership team to address issues and provide solutions relating to outbound shipments, orders, transportation, receipts and/or materials to meet organizational goals and commitments.  This role will be a liaison that will be responsible for collaborating with various internal and external customers to ensure that devices are shipped timely and accurately to attain business objectives.

This role is located at our Lewisville, TX facility with a schedule of Monday- Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

Prepare documents to ship product such as shipping labels, bills of lading, and commercial invoices for outbound shipments

Monitor system reporting to ensure dashboards are current, investigating and resolving issues

Communicate directly with buyers/customers via email from multiple sales platforms and order types to communicate weights and dimensions for label creation, providing shipping labels to customer, provide shipping status updates, or other informative updates regarding customer orders

Research and resolve issues preventing shipments, packages, materials, authorizations from moving through processes for respective department

Communicate with established network to rectify problems related to order cancelations, shipment statuses and/or shipping transactions, sales support, product shortages, damage, and nonconformance (sales, ops, transportation, accounting, carrier – external/internal customers)

Ability to adjust to continuous change and shift focus to new tasks while keeping productivity/SLA in the forefront

Schedule pickups with freight carriers for outbound and/or inbound shipments

Input material movement transactions to database systems

As a SME, train and/or cross train associates as needed

Escalate issues or concerns to the appropriate leadership team that are outside of area of responsibilities (as necessary)

Participate in continuous improvement and team building activities

Ensure department documentation is accurate and up to date and partners with Engineering regarding any changes

Generate internal reports as requested by the department leadership

Conduct other duties as assigned

What are the requirements needed for this position?

High school diploma or similar

Minimum experience of 2 years working in Shipping, Receiving, Distribution, Customer Service and/or Materials environment

Must have the ability to effectively communicate both written/verbal with internal/external customers

Strong organizational skills to give the team direction

Proficient in all process related procedures and equipment required for performing job functions of the Department

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Strong communication and presentation skills

Proficient with the use of personal computer, data entry, MS Excel, Word, Internet Research, and Oracle etc.

Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and deliver positive results

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of company personnel

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

Four years of previous experience working in a manufacturing environment

Proficient knowledge using SQL

Pay Range:

$18.65 - $29.84

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
