About the job

As an integral member of our team, you will support the unit and deliver operational service to internal and external customers. You will actively work with operational interfaces by communicating and coordinating, while ensuring short-to-mid-term goals are met for the unit and customers, contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization. Currently, this is a Hybrid opportunity located in Greenwood, IN.

As a part of the team, you will:

Execute the daily logistic operational activities of Alfa Laval Logistics Control Tower (LCT) Americas. Support in optimizing the global operational LCT processes. Support problem solving, improvement, and development activities. Secure Standardized work & SOP. Participate in Alfa Laval Production System (ALPS) meetings / Lean Six Sigma / 5S and other Operations initiatives in the unit. Ensure ALPS Supply chain processes within the unit are followed and maintained. Support Alfa Laval Global Transport central team with tender and/or logistic projects.

What you know:

You have a High School Diploma or GED, with relevant experience and:  

3-5 years of experience in exports and/or freight forwarding, preferably within international logistics and transportation. Knowledge and understanding of Americas import and export regulations. Hazmat Dangerous goods transport experience and certifications. Experience using different IT systems (ERP, TMS or similar). Experience utilizing improvement tools (5S, Six Sigma, and/or Kaizen). Excellent customer service skills.
