Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to support shipping and receiving processes in a fast-paced environment. This Contract position is based in Long Beach, California, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your skills to the logistics industry while ensuring operational efficiency. Responsibilities: • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Prepare shipping documentation, including labels, invoices, and packing lists. • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock management to prevent shortages. • Collaborate with carriers and vendors to schedule deliveries and resolve shipping issues. • Inspect incoming goods for quality and accuracy, reporting discrepancies when necessary. • Maintain up-to-date records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory transactions. • Assist in implementing safety protocols to ensure secure handling of goods. • Respond to inquiries regarding shipment status and provide updates to relevant stakeholders. • Support warehouse operations by organizing and storing goods appropriately. Requirements • Previous experience in logistics, shipping, or receiving roles. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Familiarity with shipping documentation and inventory management processes. • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with vendors and team members. • Basic proficiency in relevant software or systems used in logistics. • Understanding of safety protocols and procedures for handling goods.
