Logistics Civil Works Engineer

Job dimensions

-    Onshore production (from 40 to 230 K bpd) and drilling (phase 1: 30 wells, phase 2: 300 wells) sites on Ratawi field.

-    Location: Basra area, accommodated in a life support camp.

-    Logistics scope in TEEPRH: Reception /storage /preservation of equipment, stock follow-up through UNISOL tool, transport of personnel and equipment, lifting authority, civil works and road maintenance, life support activities on CPF1 production site.

-    3 Drilling rigs and 1 work-over rig.

-    Support to GGIP projects: Solar plant (1 GWh), AGUP ph1 & ph2, GMP, Water Injection Plant

Activities

HSE & Security:

-    Know affiliate HSE rules (Procedures, Instructions) related to Site safety, Road Safety, Lifting, Work Permit, PPE 

-    Check that Civil Works and Construction tasks within TEEPRH perimeter are carried out in accordance with such rules

-    Participate to Site HSE audits (together with Site Manager and HSE Supervisor); input the action plan related to Civil Works and Construction activities

-    Familiarize with affiliate ERW and Security rules, to ensure suitability of affiliate Contractors

Sustainability:

-    Involved in the studies for sustainability in Iraq: solar panels installation on warehouses, water consumption reduction, water supply and treatment, Iraqi staff skills development (within logistics dept. but also through contracts signed with local contractors)

Operation:

-    Support Civil Works activities within affiliate Logistics perimeter, such as road construction and its maintenance, dredging, concrete works, footing and piles, sidewalks, buildings refurbishments, water network and trenches

-    Undertake regular site visits to assess the work quality and delivery time of the Contractors

-    Identify & analyse abnormalities which penalize the productivity and propose corrective actions

-    Input the punch-list master file, and review regularly with Contractors => action plans

-    Verify civil works (earthworks, trenching and backfilling, concrete works) are carried out in compliance with project drawings, specifications and applicable local/international codes and standards

-    Supervise closely the Contractors at work-site for any trenching, digging, earth-moving, drainage, in relation of ERW risk 

-    Support other Discipline Superintendents / Supervisors on all Civil works aspects, Structural Fabrication Installation activities, and ensure that interfaces are managed effectively

-    Compile necessary reports related to his/her discipline daily 

-    Follow-up the incentive schemes within Services contracts (if any);

-    Prepare detailed scope of work, Bill of quantities and related construction documents

-    Supervise, review, approve and manage the civil engineering design, and drawings

-    Ensure that the scope for civil and structural design is in accordance with the Contract, Company General Specifications, and applicable National and International codes/ standards

-    Prepare and update construction and project schedule for the civil construction activities

-    Write and issue scopes of work for civil works and construction projects (specifications, drawings, engineering design)

-    Ensure that the Civil and Building Engineering Design are delivered as per the schedule and quality

-    Coordinate, administer and follow up under Civil Works Supervisor all necessary inspection of works, and their permits for civil construction activities.


KPIs:

-    Follow-up KPis for Civil Works and Construction Contractors

-    Propose action plans to improve Contractors efficiency

Accountabilities

-    Buildings, roads and modules construction according local rules and affiliate standards

-    Make sure a Land Clearance certificate is available before any works

-    Report to the Civil Works Supervisor

Candidate Profile

Qualifications/Experience required

-    5  years of experience in Civil works (Engineering, Construction), preferably within Oil & Gas industry

-    Master Degree in Structures and Civil Engineering

-    Certification in AutoCad software use

-    Bachelor degree in Survey Engineering is a plus

-    Easy practice of specific softwares (Primavera, Prokon, SAP2000) is a plus

-    Knowledge of construction permitting within Basra oilfields

-    Construction Call for Tender practice: production of documents (scope of works, evaluation tables, list of applicable laws and rules)

-    Proven use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point)

-    Easy public relations skills to interface with internal entities

-    Autonomous to conduct all tasks by himself

-    Fluent in English, French and Arabic are a plus

Additional Information

Note: This position is open to Iraqi nationals only.

Priority will be given to candidates from Basra.
