Logistics Associate - Forklift Operator

Ecolab, the leading global developer of premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets is seeking a Logistics Associate - Afternoon (Contract). In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of job assignments, including order picking and or/packing, order processing and other logistics support roles.

What You Will Do: 

Manually picks full-case orders and stacking them onto pallets using a scanner/tabletEnsures proper staging and identification once an order has been completely pickedUses various pieces of equipment (manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, reach truck, and propane lift) to move palletsVerifies quantities, quality of items and proper labeling of products that are being shippedExamines all packaging and contents of items for conformance to customer specifications and verifies all information against the packing list and SAPCoordinates with other departments such as customer service, production, instant and small packShipping box assemblyShipping box induction for packingShipping label preparation and applicationTrailer loading of packed boxes and palletsIdentifies items with a quantity discrepancy and promptly communicates with Supervisor and/or LeadMaintains the 5S cleanliness of the picking area and pulls completed shrink-wrapped orders to the dock for LTL packersFollows all safety procedures and policiesFollow all warehouse procedures and policies


Minimum Qualifications: 

High school diploma or G.E.D. requiredOne year experience in plant or warehouseExperience and certification with counter-balance and reach fork lift truckMust be able to accurately perform basic mathematical calculationsMust be able to follow both written and verbal directionsNo Immigration Sponsorship is available for this role

Position Details

The main work location for this position will be Mississauga (Tranmere Dr./Drew Rd.).Candidate must reside in: Greater Toronto AreaWork week and shift: Afternoon Shift, 2:30pm - 11:00pm Monday to Thursday and 2:00pm - 10:30pm on Friday. Periodically, you may be scheduled for the day shift, based on business requirements.Contract: This is a 12 month contract

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry 50lbs

Preferred Qualifications:        

Previous experience in a warehouse environment performing shipping and/or receiving responsibilitiesBe able to properly utilize a manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, reach lift and/or sit-down forkliftA minimal level of analytical ability is required
