**Description**
SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented, efficient, and organized professional to join our growing team as a **Logistics Associate** . This position will be on-site at our **Bedford, IN** location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, overseeing the flow of materials, coordinating with suppliers, ensuring that the delivery of materials meets production schedules
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure material availability, considering current stock, lead times, and production schedules.
+ Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply issues.
+ Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
+ Work closely with the procurement department to help identify new suppliers, negotiate pricing, and improve material quality.
+ Collaborate with production and planning teams to forecast future material needs and prepare procurement schedules.
+ Oversee the receipt of all incoming materials, ensuring proper documentation, inspection, and storage.
+ Assist in implementing and maintaining inventory management systems and strategies.
+ Generate and maintain accurate records and reports regarding inventory levels, material usage, and procurement.
+ Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.
+ Engage in the materials lifecycle management from procurement to disposal.
**Qualifications**
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors degree and 0 years related experience or High School with at least 5 years of experience in material coordination, inventory control, or a similar role within a manufacturing or production environment.
+ Proficient in using inventory management software and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
+ Familiarity with ERP systems.
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and negotiation skills.
+ Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proven track record of effectively managing time and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
