One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Logistics Advisor to work on a 12-month assignment in their facilities in Spring, TX.
Summary:
The Logistics Advisor serves as a subject matter expert across logistics domains, aviation, marine, shore base, ground transport, and camp services, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective logistical support. This role oversees daily logistics operations, including strategy implementation, contractor supervision, inventory management, and material coordination to rig sites (onshore/offshore). The advisor may also operate in regions lacking local logistics infrastructure, supporting affiliates as needed. Responsibilities include optimizing supply/demand balances, minimizing delivery costs, and continuously improving logistics processes, systems, and best practices.
Responsibilities: Maintain performance-tracking records of supply base operations and logistics source contracts as a tool for efficiency and continuous improvement opportunities Supervise, train, mentor, and develop skill sets of national logistics and materials management personnel from start-up to affiliate stage of operations Ensures that logistics operations are in conformance with all Company environmental, health, and safety requirements: actively supports and participates in the Company SHE Management system Gain alignment with Drill Team on base business services needs, objectives, and requirements Comply with local in-country regulations and PSC/JOA requirements Assure compliance with DOAG, Controls, and OIMS standards and requirements Develop and maintain KPI's and metrics for supported operations Periodically perform internal assessment to ensure compliance with controls
Requirements: BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or other Technical degree Experience in supply and logistics, preferably in international frontier operations Demonstrates strong planning, scheduling, coordination and administration skills. Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with Production, Development, Projects, Drilling and Exploration; able to network effectively across organizations. Behavioral Skills: adaptability, analytical capability, collaboration, effective communication, innovation. Functional Skills: SSHE management - operations and maintenance, process planning and mechanical coordination, maintenance management, maintenance - mechanical, logistics, general marine operations. #LI-AG3
