Logistic Operations Internship

Eli Lilly Italia is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Logistics Intern to join the Logistics Department at our Sesto Fiorentino manufacturing site. This extracurricular internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in a complex and collaborative environment, contributing to both daily operations and strategic improvement initiatives.

The selected intern will report directly to the Senior Manager Logistic and will work closely with the Process Team, with the goal of maximizing performance in alignment with production plans. A strong focus will be placed on ensuring personnel safety, product quality, and data integrity across all activities. The internship will primarily take place on the production floor, providing exposure to the dynamic challenges of logistics within a highly regulated setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Coordination: Support the management of incoming raw materials and help define a maintenance plan for storage freezers to ensure warehouse capacity meets production needs. Monitor and manage test materials using dedicated tools.

Process Improvement & Projects: Contribute to logistics process optimization through data analysis and participation in improvement initiatives. Lead or support small-scale projects, including digital solution implementation.

Data & Performance Management: Analyze operational data, define logistics KPIs, and model resource use to improve efficiency and process stability.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with area supervisors, shop floor teams, and cross-functional groups to understand and support logistics operations.

Quality, HSE & Training: Promote HSE culture, ensure compliance with quality standards in partnership with QA, and support training activities within the department.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Management Engineering

Excellent command of English (B2/C1 level, spoken and written)

Strong organizational and goal-oriented mindset

Proactive attitude, curiosity, and problem-solving abilities

The extracurricular internship includes a monthly allowance of €1300, along with free access to the company cafeteria and canteen.
