More information about FS&P and its business units can be found at this site: Facilities Services & Planning (FS&P) | Stanford Health Care **This is a Stanford Health Care job.** **A Brief Overview** The Locksmith is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing locks, panic hardware, door closure, and special hardware in order to provide premises securing and safe operations at the hospital. This position is also responsible for changing lock and safe combinations. **Locations** Stanford Health Care **What you will do** + Performs routine inspections of the building door's closure noting deficiencies, and initiate Work Order to repairs them. + Transports various supplies, parts, and building materials and delivers to appropriate locations as required. + Monitors and inspects equipment for proper operations and reports all deficiencies to Supervisor. + Track all work performed through Maximo including close out of service requests and associated hours. + Maintains knowledge of and documents all Hospital locking functions. + Duplicates keys by code or pattern, and fits keys by impression when no pattern or code is available. + Maintains all premises key masters, key banks and cut keys. + Maintains stock, control of blanks, locks, and repair parts. + Monitors inventory control of master key issues and informs Supervisor of key and/or security problems. + Replaces locks as necessary, to suit changes in occupancy as per the Security Department approved Work Order. + Inspects, approve and close all work orders when completed to ensure compliance with the keying plan. + Coordinates and communicates closely with the Security Department regarding the status of all Work Orders. **Education Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED equivalent **Experience Qualifications** + Four (4) to six (6) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience + Locksmith registration issued by the state of California **Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** + Ability to adapt to and deal with change and ambiguity + Ability to operate standard tools, instruments and equipment used on the job + Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently and meet deadlines + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches + Ability to solve problems and identify solutions + Ability to speak and write effectively at a level appropriate for the job + Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment + Ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization + Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area + Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility + Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in maintenance and repair **Licenses and Certifications** + CADL - California Drivers License - Valid And In State . + CMM - Certified Maintenance Manager preferred . **These principles apply to ALL employees:** **SHC Commitment to Providing an Exceptional Patient & Family Experience** _Stanford Health Care sets a high standard for delivering value and an exceptional experience for our patients and families.
