Team Leader - Lead Engineering Management

Your role and responsibilities

For our traction and e-mobility business in Turgi, Switzerland, we are looking for a committed and passionate Project Lead Engineer (m/f/d). In this challenging position, you will be the technical lead and design authority for engineering activities related to rolling stock, Energy Storage Systems, E-bus or heavy electric vehicle propulsion. In close collaboration with the engineering department, you will drive excellence by ensuring that engineering activities are effectively executed in accordance with customer expectations, specifications, standards and safety requirements, while identifying improvement opportunities.The work model for the role is: #LI-HybridYou will be mainly accountable for:• Technical lead of a team of specialist engineers for complex engineering projects, in collaboration with the commercial project manager• Technical representation of the project towards the customer and suppliers while ensuring project execution within the given time, cost, and scope framework• Drive decisions and maintain close collaboration with other engineering teams (locally and globally), R&D, product management, project management and other relevant functions• Actively promoting the application and continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor, Master or PhD in electrical, software or mechanical engineeringAt least 5 years work experience in a technical customer focused area, ideally in the field of railway, E-bus or heavy electric vehicle propulsionTechnical Project management experienceStrong level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a structured approach to workTeam player with excellent communication skills in English and preferably in German
