This Position reports to:

Process Industries division delivers complete electrification and automation solutions, industry-specific products and lifecycle services across industries. Engineering and delivering automation solutions from device to monitoring and control make our customers get more out of their investment; digitalization solutions including collaborative operations and augmented reality help improve plant and enterprise productivity, reduce maintenance and energy costs. Our engineering, project management, services and solutions portfolio covers a wide range of industries - Mining, Pulp & Paper, Metals, Aluminum and Cement, Data centers and Food and Beverage.

We are looking for our next Local Division Manager to lead and develop our Process Industries business in Poland. We deliver Automation, electrification and digitalization solutions to customers in segments like Pulp& Paper, Metals, Mining and Cement where we help them to be more sustainable, productive and Safer. In this role you will lead the Polish team with full accountability for all aspects of the business delivering a world class experience for our customers and employees.  Our Process Industries business in Poland takes care of pulp and paper, metals, mining and the hoisting industry in Poland, from Sales to project execution and service. The focus of the team is to service the installed base of hoisting solutions, focus on growing the installed base from both new mines as well as capturing upgrades on competitors installed base.

The role has high visibility and reports to the global Business Line manager, it is part of the global business line management team, where you will be a critical team member setting the strategic direction for the global business. Your responsibilities:

Deliver long term improvements of the P&L according to targets.

Lead all aspects of the commercial and operations teams, from sales to service.

Lead the day-to-day operations of the organization within Australia.

Develop and implement the Polish business strategy.

Take the team as well as the individuals the next level.

Collaborate with the global Business Line Hosting team and wider ABB.

This role offers flexibility and requires both office presence and travel within Poland and occasionally overseas.
 

Your background:

University degree in engineering, finance or another relevant field

Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant industry, preferably mining where Experience of hoisting business is an advantage

Proven record of managing project and/or service organizations and successful leadership style that motivates and enthuses people and organization

Beneficial if previous experience of holding P&L responsibility and is Sales oriented, able to build strong relationships with all customers, engaging with senior executives from customer.

Strategical mindset but are also being very operationally involved in the business.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
