Loan Support Specialist
About The Role Come join the Layton Hills branch Loan Operations Team (1601 N. Hill Field Rd., Layton, UT 84041)! This position has a strong focus on loan data, accounting, tracking sheets, system boarding and imaging. Among these duties include data entry and verification, exception reporting and cleanup, specialty loan tracking, research, construction loan draws, and other tasks as assigned. This includes creation in a host system with additional setup of customers, associations, relationships, code structures and other fields that drive management reporting and general ledger. This position supports in Commercial, Consumer and Construction loans as well. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Loan setup – includes creation of customers, accounts, associations, affiliations, relationships, collateral, FASB 91 accounting and all coding that drives reporting. Document Imaging – images all loan files, financial data and other documents relative to loan relationship. Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all Images scanned to the Synergy System. Collateral Tracking- Enter and validate collateral tracking “items” and associated “documents” for loans. Work with Lenders to clear outstanding collateral tracking items. File Review -Complete loan file review post booking and enter exceptions into system Department pipeline maintenance – keep status of loan through loan process up to date. Helps ensure all loans are completed. nCino – Learn to navigate the nCino system in order to book and transfer images for commercial transactions ECM Reviews – Verify all images are imaged correctly to the proper placeholder, are scanned completely front and back Processes construction loan draws and ensure the draw process complies with the banks policies and procedures. This includes loan balancing, preparation of construction draw checks, and disbursements to vendor/supplier’s and imaging of complete draw package after funding Develop a general understanding of all functions related to Loan Operations and its role to the Bank. Payoff quotes Online entry of payments, transfers, loan funding, setting up Auto transfers and ACH ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Regular and predictable attendance in order to accomplish, among other things, in-person contact with customers. Represent FCBU in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive “can-do” attitude, punctuality, flexibility, and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs. Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy. Responsible for timely completion of all required compliance and security training implemented by GBCI and FCBU. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to: the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control Adhere and support the FCBU Values & Purpose Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy and respect towards external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel). Professionally answer phones within a timely manner, greeting all customers, learning their names, discussing reasonable solutions by having a solid understanding of bank products and services, demonstrating leadership to resolve customer issues and provide relevant assistance while being courteous and respectful. Attends and participates in weekly or bi-weekly One-on-Ones, as well as meeting and trainings as required. SCHEDULE: Full Time, 40 Hours per week : Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY: Ability to research and make sound judgments, strong analytical skills Must be organized and able to multi-task Strong computer skills, proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.
