Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Loan Processor to join our client's team on a long-term contract basis in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This role involves managing loan applications, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and maintaining accurate documentation throughout the loan process. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to members.
Responsibilities:
• Review fees on new loan applications to ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and prepare disclosures within three days of application.
• Handle re-disclosures for locks and changed circumstances as required, sending e-sign disclosure packages or printing and mailing them to members.
• Conduct written and verbal verifications of employment and request payoffs from other financial institutions.
• Order essential documents for mortgage loans, including appraisals, title work, flood certifications, insurance, and collateral documents.
• Communicate the status of ordered and received documents with Mortgage Processors and Origination Teams.
• Evaluate incoming documents for accuracy and follow up when necessary to ensure completeness.
• File documents accurately in the Imaging Platform system and record dates ordered and received in the Loan Origination System.
• Balance monthly corporate credit card statements, ensuring all invoices match charges.
• Review incoming appraisals, notify the origination team of any concerns, and send valuation copies to members.
• Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, supply stocking, filing, copying, and mail distribution.
Requirements • Proficiency in using automated underwriting systems and mortgage processing tools such as Calyx and Calyx Point.
• Strong understanding of compliance standards and closing processes within the mortgage industry.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and external stakeholders.
• Experience with appraisals, mortgage payments, and collateral documentation.
• Knowledge of NMLS regulations and requirements; NMLS licensure is preferred.
• Ability to manage data processing tasks efficiently and maintain accurate documentation.
• Familiarity with fraud reports, VA case numbers, and other specialized mortgage-related processes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure timely and accurate completion of responsibilities.
