Loan Processor
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Loan Processor to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Poughkeepsie, New York. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring loan applications are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to improving operational processes. Responsibilities: • Review and verify loan packages and associated documents to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Prepare final loan packages for funding, ensuring all procedures align with lending policies. • Input and validate funding data within the loan origination system to facilitate timely disbursement of funds. • Respond to inquiries from dealers, staff, and members regarding current and pending loan applications using multiple computer systems. • Conduct follow-ups on outstanding documents for loans in process to enhance member satisfaction. • Recommend improvements to processes and products to streamline operations and elevate the member experience. • Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including completing required training such as Bank Secrecy Act compliance. • Actively participate in team projects and strategic initiatives to support organizational goals. • Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork while applying the company's core values and service principles. • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality to meet operational needs. Requirements • Proven experience in customer service, preferably within a financial or lending environment. • Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. • Familiarity with loan processing systems and procedures. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with members, staff, and external partners. • Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to lending practices. • Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications. • Commitment to continuous learning and dedication to development.
