Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Loan Processing Assistant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves supporting loan origination and administration processes within a credit union's back-office operations. Based in Marlborough, Massachusetts, this position offers an excellent opportunity to deepen your expertise in consumer and government loans. Responsibilities: • Assist with loan origination processes, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. • Manage administrative tasks related to consumer, government, and mortgage loans. • Review loan applications for compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. • Facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth processing. • Maintain and update loan files and records in the system for accuracy and accessibility. • Provide support in resolving discrepancies or issues related to loan applications. • Monitor loan processing timelines to meet deadlines and enhance customer satisfaction. • Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to best practices and operational standards. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in loan origination, administration, or a related field. • Familiarity with consumer, government, and mortgage loan processes. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and managing loan documentation. • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with various stakeholders. • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to loan processing. • Experience in a credit union or financial institution is a plus.
