LOAN COORDINATOR II
About The Role Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is looking for a Full-time Loan Coordinator II for our St George branch. Role Provides a strong level of assistance to officers and customers with their loan requests, providing the clerical and administrative support needed to process and close customer loans as well as perform other related duties and reconcile a variety of reports and answer customer questions. Demonstrates a strong level of understanding of regulations and bank policy. In addition, analyzes multi-layer entity organizational documents for authorized signers, orders environmental reports, preliminary title reports and appraisals. Prepares a variety of different documents such as checklist, worksheets, etc. Coordinates with Lead and Director to provide proper backup planning for vacations/absences. Provides input on process improvement and procedures. Carry out assigned special projects by the Lead. Assists in facilitating the loan process by interacting with customers, lending partners, and the bank loan team in an efficient, professional, and helpful manner. Essential Functions Prepares loan documentation for approval. Analyzes complex-layer entity documents. Requests closing documents. Preps and then sends request for finalized closing docs to be booked/funded. Follows up with trailing documentation as needed. Coordinate and offer support, back up and administrative functions to loan officer and team. Orders environmental reports, preliminary title reports and appraisals timely and accurately. Reconciles insurance, collateral tracking & paid off reports. Prints other reports for Loan Officer review as necessary. Coordinates and resolves audit issues and responds to loan audits timely and accurately. Assists in processing paid out loans, preps loan payoff quotes, posts payments and assists in paying invoices as needed. Ensures that all documents are scanned to the bank’s electronic storage accurately. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s). It is the individual learner responsibility to ensure that they understand the information given to them in each training. If the learner does not understand the information given, they need to reach out to their lead or director for further clarification or additional training. Communicate with customers and prospects to reduce friction in the loan production and portfolio management processes. Assist in collecting, filing, and organizing customer financials and information. Interact with business owners and other professionals in person, by email and telephone promptly. Work with other departments in the bank to help with loan production, documentation, and portfolio management. Compose letters and memoranda, edit written communications. Collect and prepare information for use in discussions and meetings with internal and external loan clients as requested by lead. Create and process construction/development draws in the timeframe outlined by the department manager. Maintain positive relationships with vendors, inspectors, treasury management and other intercompany personnel. Track builder line usage, letters of credit, collateral releases, loan maturity dates, past due loans and any other items assigned by department manager. Knowledgeable in-BUILT software and/or other construction monitoring software utilized by the bank. Additional Responsibilities To produce loan documents and new accounts in a timely fashion, with zero unresolved errors and within level of autonomy. To process all payments, transactions, and wire requests timely and accurately. To assist Lead in analyzing processes and procedures to identify improvement techniques. To maintain a working knowledge of the bank’s loan standards and government regulations. To maintain a professional work environment and business-like appearance. Fulfill customer needs by providing safe and sound banking services with the highest level of care. Adhere to Altabank Core Values. Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Participate in Community Service and Bank sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of the Altabank. It should be expected that from time to time, other duties both related and unrelated to the above may be assigned, and therefore, required. #LI-JB1 About You Qualifications Experience Two to five years of similar or related experience. Education A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Knowledge: Must display strong knowledge of common computer skills for Microsoft Office including Outlook, adequate typing skills, and file organization as it relates to File Explorer and the ability to quickly learn new computer software. Must have strong understanding of bank lending functions and the loan process. Strong organizational skills are required to ensure detailed, complete, and accurate loan files in compliance with bank policy and procedures. An understanding of real estate and construction terms and vocabulary. Skills and Abilities: Strong level of organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. Demonstrate the ability to work within the Bank’s and Department staff’s organizational structure for file storage and loan pipeline management. Employee must be capable of interacting calmly and professionally with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds at various levels within and outside of the organization. Employee must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance. Ability to adapt to change (e.g. shifting priorities, demands, and timelines) through time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Problem-solving, ability to take direction and strong listening skills. What We Offer COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position.
