Loan Closing Coordinator
Description We are looking for a dedicated Loan Closing Coordinator to join our team in Paramus, New Jersey. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the banking industry by ensuring the seamless coordination of loan closings and maintaining accurate documentation. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review pre-closing documentation for commercial lending and real estate loans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with closing conditions. • Organize loan files and verify the completeness of all required closing documents. • Calculate escrows, reserves, and prepaid interest, as well as prepare general ledger entries and initiate wire transfers. • Serve as a liaison between attorneys, Relationship Managers, and other professionals to coordinate timely loan closings. • Set up loan files following standard departmental procedures and collaborate with Loan Administrators on related responsibilities. • Process post-closing documents and reports, ensuring accurate input into the bank’s systems. • Maintain reference procedures to regulate loan closings, modifications, and conversions. • Address customer inquiries and assist with daily department operations, including resolving issues. • Prepare and verify department reports, such as pipeline and closing reports, and ensure compliance with regulations. • Review mortgage discharges for accuracy and handle related duties as required. Requirements • Proven experience in administrative coordination, with a focus on loan administration and documentation. • Knowledge of commercial lending and real estate loan processes. • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. • Excellent communication and organizational skills for coordinating with attorneys and Relationship Managers. • Proficiency in calculating financial figures such as escrows, reserves, and prepaid interest. • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and maintain accurate records. • Familiarity with system inputs and general ledger entries in the banking industry. • Problem-solving skills to address customer inquiries and operational challenges.
