Description
We are looking for a dedicated Loan Closer to join a team on a long-term contract basis in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting mortgage loan closing activities for first and second mortgages, ensuring efficient and accurate service delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment that values precision and customer satisfaction. While this position is primarily remote, it does require training and work in person at the Eau Claire, Wisconsin office.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review closing documents for accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with title companies, team members, and external partners to ensure smooth and timely closings.
• Address inquiries from members, team members, and title companies, providing clear and attentive communication.
• Conduct final audits and preparation of documents needed to complete the mortgage closing process.
• Manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively in a high-volume environment.
• Deliver exceptional service to members for all loan products, maintaining a strong focus on efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Utilize software tools such as Adobe Acrobat and Automated Underwriting Systems to streamline processes.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of mortgage closing procedures, including appraisals and document processing.
• Maintain compliance with NMLS standards and other industry regulations.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with members and partners.
• Proficiency in tools such as Automated Underwriting Systems.
• Familiarity with mortgage closing procedures, including appraisals and document preparation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
• NMLS certification or eligibility to become certified upon starting the role.
