**Role Purpose**
CBRE is seeking an Asset Manager to join our Asset Management team in London. This position is client based, requiring excellent analytical skills and experience in real estate debt. The role involves supporting the asset management of a pan European mixed loan portfolio for a leading global private equity firm.
Key Responsibilities
‒Review and manage approval process for waivers, lease approvals and other ad hoc requests.
‒Forward looking monitoring and assessment of loan performance (performance vs. underwriting and vs. sponsor business plan).
‒Re-underwriting of loans (for example loans that are behind business plan).
‒Prepare quarterly and annual asset reviews.
‒Liaising with facility agent on reporting and other asset management related queries.
‒Analyse development budgets against actual costs and contingencies. Monitor development and capex project progress including managing the drawdown processes.
‒Recalculate and spread financial statements and financial covenants in line with LMA structured finance definitions.
‒Manage property and tenant level data including the financial trends, credit ratings and relevant ESG credentials.
‒Actively collate and review up-to-date market research in relevant asset class & geographic locations.
‒Participate in relevant client meetings and present to relevant stakeholders.
‒Evaluate and prepare recommendations for client consent items on loan and real estate related issues.
‒Review all relevant items of real estate finance and provide recommendations.
‒Maintain the integrity of loan information within the loan asset management system.
‒Special projects as required.
**Person Specification/Requirements**
‒Experience in UK & European commercial real estate finance sector.
‒Educated to degree level or equivalent.
‒CAIA, CFA or MRICS helpful but not essential
‒Debt due diligence and transaction management expertise.
‒Familiarity with LMA structured finance.
‒Good experience of MS Excel and cashflow modelling.
‒Good experience of underwriting and/or loan management of performing and non-performing loans
‒Good understanding of borrower or sponsor level information (financial statements, corporate structure etc.).
‒Excellent time management and organisational skills
‒Excellent analytical, written, verbal and problem-solving skills
‒European languages (German, Dutch, Italian, French or other) an asset.
