As an operator with us the minimum responsibilities are: + Operating a loader and other heavy equipment for all three City of Hamilton Transfer Stations + Loading waste material into 48’ walking floor trailers, breaking down waste with loaders or other equipment to prepare it for loading. + Loading waste or cardboard into a compactor to load trailers. Using a skid steer to sort materials and a sweeper attachment to clean facility. + Acting as a spotter at any of three Hamilton sites when needed. + Travelling between transfer stations according to business needs + Perfoming other job-related tasks as needed. **Schedule:** Varying work weeks one week Monday to Friday next week Tuesday to Saturday. Every other weekend is a long weekend. Shifts may vary during vacation and holiday seasons. **What We Need From You:** + Must be able to operate a front end Loader (Cat 950) + Heavy equipment experience such as a skid steer and excavator would be an asset. + Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance + AZ or DZ License is an asset + Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures + Must be willing to travel throughout the Hamilton area and periodically to Oakville.
