About this opportunity
Are you passionate about open-source technologies and quality assurance? 


Join us as a Linux Test Engineer, where you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our Linux-based solutions. You’ll work hands-on with Yocto and the Linux kernel, designing and executing automated tests, contributing to upstream projects, and helping us maintain world-class software quality. Your work will help us catch regressions early, monitor performance trends, and ensure compatibility across evolving systems.

 

What you will do
In this role, you’ll be part of a collaborative and technically skilled team. Your responsibilities will include:


•    Developing and executing test strategies tailored to project needs
•    Creating detailed test plans and test cases based on specifications
•    Running automated tests, analyzing results, and reporting defects
•    Collaborating closely with developers to understand code changes and resolve issues
•    Generating clear and actionable test reports for project stakeholders
•    Monitoring test performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing scripts
•    Investigating complex issues, identifying root causes, and proposing solutions
•    Supporting troubleshooting efforts across teams

 

The skills you bring
We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation and a passion for testing in open-source environments. Ideally, you bring:


•    A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
•    Proven experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role
•    Hands-on experience with Yocto and/or embedded systems development
•    Solid understanding of test automation and CI/CD pipelines
•    Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in open-source projects
•    Familiarity with testing frameworks like ptest (Yocto), LTP, and RT-Tests
•    Experience with benchmarking tools such as UnixBench, iPerf, and sysbench
•    Knowledge of automated open-source test frameworks across various environments
•    Experience with bug tracking tools like Bugzilla and Jira
•    Understanding of open-source community norms, especially within the Linux kernel ecosystem
•    Strong communication and collaboration skills
