**Description** SAIC has an immediate need for a **Linux System Administrator** to support our Army and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customers and the STARS team in Huntsville, AL/Redstone Arsenal. **Responsibilities:** + Installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of RHEL operating systems and software applications + Apply patches and upgrades to ensure systems are current and protected against known vulnerabilities + Integrating network services such as: group policy, drive shares, data backup and account management for Linux systems + Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to meet user requirements on all assigned systems + Perform network and hardware installation, upgrades, replacement and maintenance + Maintain Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) compliance + Support Cybersecurity team requirements to include artifact generation, and tool support **Qualifications** **Required Education and Experience:** + Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience; four (4) years of experience are accepted in lieu of a degree **Required Clearance:** + An Active Secret Security Clearance **Required Certification:** + DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Computing Environment (CE) Certification in an approved Linux discipline required and must be maintained + CompTIA Security+ Certification required and must be maintained **Required Skills:** + Experience as a System Administrator or similar role in Linux Environments + Demonstrate a disciplined approach to systems administration + Disciplined experience in developing system documentation + Self-motivated, possess strong oral and written communication skills + Ability work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, technically advanced team environment REQNUMBER: 2508755 SAIC is a premier technology integrator, solving our nation's most complex modernization and systems engineering challenges across the defense, space, federal civilian, and intelligence markets.
