Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux System Administrator with a strong focus on configuration management, fleet optimization, and Ansible automation. This role will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our Linux infrastructure, leveraging Ansible AWX for server and service validation, and contributing to the deployment and management of a robust fleet of servers. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of Rocky Linux 9 and CentOS 7 Linux environments, alongside significant experience in scripting and configuration management. You will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities & Function: Vulnerability Remediation / Patching: Manage Rocky Linux 9 and CentOS 7 operating systems, including patching, updates, and security hardening. Develop, maintain, and optimize Ansible AWX configurations for server and service validation. Utilize Ansible AWX to automate the deployment, configuration, and management of servers and services. Implement and manage AWX workflows for monitoring, alerting, and automation. Troubleshoot AWX configuration and ensure optimal performance. Implement and enforce security best practices, including user access management, firewall configuration, and vulnerability scanning. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application development, network, operations, and security to ensure seamless integration and operations. Skills and Requirements Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field Expertise in Rocky Linux 9 and CentOS 7 Linux operating systems. Proven experience managing these distributions. Strong proficiency in Ansible AWX configuration, deployment, and management. Experience with Ansible best practices. Excellent scripting skills in Bash or Python. Solid understanding of Linux system administration principles, including package management, system monitoring, and security. Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools. Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls). Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
