Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
System Monitoring & Maintenance:Monitor system performance and availability using established tools and protocols.Perform routine system checks and maintenance tasks, including log reviews and health checks.Incident Response:Respond to and resolve basic incidents and service requests related to Linux and Solaris systems.Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 support teams as needed.User Support:Assist users with basic system issues, including login problems, file access, and software installations.Provide clear and effective communication with users to resolve their technical issues.Configuration & Deployment:Assist with the installation, configuration, and deployment of Linux and Solaris servers under supervision.Apply system patches and updates as directed by senior team members.Documentation:Document incident resolutions, procedures, and troubleshooting steps in the IT knowledge base.Maintain accurate records of system configurations and changes.Collaboration:Work closely with senior engineers, system administrators, and other IT staff to support the overall IT infrastructure.Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Compliance & Security:Adhere to organizational policies and procedures related to system security and compliance.Identify and report security vulnerabilities in Linux and Solaris systems.Qualifications2-4 Years of experience in operating system support - Linux and SolarisBasic knowledge of Linux (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu) and Solaris operating systems.Familiarity with shell scripting and command-line tools.Understanding of system monitoring tools and basic networking concepts.Exposure to virtualization technologies and cloud platforms is a plus.Additional InformationGet to know more about how we work at Bosch and our new open positions on our social networks:
